Performance Capabilities

Both sporty small sedans, the 2018 Jaguar XE and 2018 BMW 3-Series are each offered with rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, as well as a number of different engine configurations. However, the Jaguar XE quite simply overpowers the BMW model:

• BMW 3-Series – The BMW also gets a base turbocharged inline-four, but it only makes 180 hp. The available turbo-diesel engine on the 3-Series tops out at just 280 hp, while a turbocharged V6 fails to surpass 320 hp.

Base Model Features

When it comes to standard features, you can look forward to similar premium accommodations with both sedans, as both models’ base trims feature:

• Dual-zone automatic climate control
• Bluetooth® hands-free calling and audio streaming
• 17-inch alloy wheels

However, the Jaguar XE gets an eight-inch touchscreen interface, while the BMW 3-Series only gets a 6.5-inch display screen. Additionally, only the base Jaguar XE comes with:
