Then, after sunset, the Fort Myers Beach fishing pier lights up with one of the best fireworks displays in the Cape Coral area. Free Tours at Tom Allen Memorial Butterfly House at Rotary Park

The Tom Allen Memorial Butterfly House at Rotary Park offers free tours on the Fourth of July. You can visit anytime starting after 10:30 am, and you do not need a reservation in order to explore the area either. While free, they do accept donations, and you can even visit the environmentalist center and see snakes, turtles, and other wildlife. Plus, there’s a park and trails on site for you and the family to enjoy.

Downtown Fort Myers Freedom Festival and Block Party

The River District comes alive at 12 pm with the Downtown Fort Myers Freedom Festival and Block Party. Here, you can take in a car show, four stages of live music, and a free kid zone complete with bounce houses, slip and slides, and more. After dark you’ll see some fireworks too!
